Team Leader / Senior Residential Conveyancer

Location: Leicester (Hybrid Working Available)

About the Role

A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer / Team Leader to join and lead its expanding Residential Conveyancing team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to take on a leadership role while managing a varied and busy caseload.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the team, maintaining strong client and referrer relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of the residential property department. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
  • Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, including new-build transactions
  • Managing re-mortgages, equity release, and transfer of equity matters
  • Leading, supervising, and developing members of the conveyancing team
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
  • Ensuring high standards of client care and communication throughout transactions
  • Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and professional standards
  • Using case management systems effectively to manage files and workflows
  • Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to team growth

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Conveyancer within a busy residential property team
  • Strong experience handling a full range of residential conveyancing transactions independently
  • Previous team management or supervisory experience is essential
  • Excellent business development and relationship management skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good IT skills and experience using case management systems
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to team leadership
  • Formal qualifications (CLC, CILEX, or Solicitor) are desirable but not essential
