About the Role
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its fast-growing CQS-accredited residential property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and personable conveyancer to join a busy department with a strong pipeline of residential property work.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion. The role offers flexible working arrangements, including fully remote, hybrid, or office-based working at one of the firms offices in Southwest Region.
The firm is known for its strong client relationships, supportive team structure, and continued growth within its property department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation including contracts and transfer deeds
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties throughout transactions
- Providing clear and practical legal advice with a strong client-focused approach
- Maintaining high standards of client care and communication
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and professional standards
- Supporting the wider property team and contributing to a collaborative working environment
- Assisting in the training and development of paralegals where required
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years solid experience in residential conveyancing
- Experience working as a Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), Licensed Conveyancer, or an experienced conveyancer without formal qualification will also be considered
- Strong experience managing residential property transactions independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively under pressure
- High level of client care and professional standards
- Proven experience with billing and file management
- A positive and collaborative attitude with a willingness to support colleagues
- Interest in contributing to the growth of the property department
This position is not suitable for partner-level candidates or solicitors, and there is currently no management pathway within the residential conveyancing team.
Remote Working
Fully remote working is available for candidates with proven experience of working entirely from home within a law firm environment. Remote candidates must be confident in handling matters independently without direct supervision.
